ABOUT THE BOOK:

At the behest of her ailing mother, former FBI special agent turned rare-book collector Ivy Elliott arrives in Alaska to secure an unpublished Jack London manuscript kept secreted away for decades. But when she arrives, she learns the manuscript is gone--taken by the granddaughter of the woman who possessed it. Ivy sets off in pursuit, not just to save the manuscript but to save the vulnerable girl, who was previously trafficked and has no idea what she's getting herself into.

Joining forces with Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, Ivy must battle a blizzard, sabotage, and the worst of an Alaskan winter as the search goes on. But every answer they find only raises more questions--and the danger to their lives and to the missing girl may only be the tip of the iceberg.

Don't miss this breathtaking race for truth set amid the glorious--and deadly--Glacier Bay from USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Goddard.

MY REVIEW:

A complex tale filled with mystery and suspense in Alaska's wilderness involving a twist from the past. . .

In this final installment of the author's 'Missing in Alaska' series, former FBI agent Ivy Elliott has returned to Alaska at the request of her mother. Her mother wants her find a missing Jack London manuscript from the early 20th-century. Although Ivy is reluctant to return to the cold rugged landscape of Alaska, readers quickly learn that someone is pressuring her to find the manuscript. Ivy does not want to let her mother down for several reasons.

Nolan Long is a well-respected, experienced Alaska State Trooper, who is assigned to the missing person case Ivy inadvertently falls into when she arrives in Southeast Alaska. These two characters are definitely not strangers, and they discover that the spark they each felt when they originally met on another case has not died off.

This story is filled with amazing action scenes, deep conversations between the two lead characters, dead ends, twists and turns, deceit, betrayal—everything fans of this genre want to read. As for romance—there is a tender and touching romance that blossoms as the story progresses. Family relationships play a large part in the arc of this story.

The author's descriptive writing of the setting and action scenes is excellent! The faith thread is subtle, but ever present. This book is completely clean in language and content.
