ABOUT THE BOOK:

Justice comes easy for these two. But forgiveness? That's another matter altogether.

Investigative reporter Rae Burke will do anything to find her missing sister-in-law, even if it means facing Liam McKade, a man who almost lost his life saving hers. A former DEA agent, Liam thought he could find peace at his Wyoming ranch, but he doesn't feel at home anywhere anymore. When the reporter who blew his cover on an important investigation inserts herself back into his life, he's less than thrilled. But Rae's keen investigative skills have led her down the right path--and directly into the dragon's mouth--leaving Liam no choice but to protect her.

As the danger increases, the past they both tried to flee catches up to them, along with the feelings they once had for each other . . .

MY REVIEW:
Elizabeth Goddard is a new-to-me author in one of my favorite genres, Christian romantic suspense. This is the third book in Goddard's 'Uncommon Justice' series. Without having read the first two books, I was able to gain enough background information throughout the story to understand what was happening in this book.

There is a lot of interesting action in this book, particularly since much of the action scenes took place on the snow. I thought the setting was unusual, and the author used that fact to her advantage when creating the thrilling and suspenseful chase scenes, etc.

The two main characters, Liam McKade and Rae Burke, had an intriguing history together. Their respective careers in law enforcement and journalism worked well to create a well-balanced plot.

The villains in the story are believable; their actions are repulsive. Tension between the good guys and the bad guys is taut, and as a reader I could just feel the pulse rates of the main characters increase whenever they encountered these villains.

Perhaps the element of the story I enjoyed and appreciated the most was that Liam and Rae each had a strong sense of why they were working in their chosen career. They each wanted to help victims. Setting innocent people free was what motivated each of them.

The faith thread in the book was generally displayed through brief prayers sent up by the main characters in times of crisis.

This book is completely clean in language and content. Highly-recommended for fans of Christian/clean romantic suspense, Christian/clean contemporary fiction, Christian/clean romance.
