ABOUT THE AUTHOR, HOLLY HOMER, {from her Amazon Author Page}:
Hi, I am Holly. I am the mom of three boys. Three very active boys. I live with my
husband and kids in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas.
I write Kids Activities Blog - http://kidsactivitiesblog.com & run the
Quirky Momma FB page - http://facebook.com/quirkymomma about fun things to do
with kids. My philosophy is that there is no need to spend money on kids crafts
and activities when there are perfectly entertaining things to be made from the
kitchen junk drawer.
Early on in my parenting journey, I realized that kid energy can turn to
trouble when not exhausted in a constructive manner! I pulled from my
experience as a Physical Therapist to find, create and direct ways to actively
wear out my boys while having fun.
Play is an important part of our lives. Favorite family time activities are a
trip to grandma & grandpa's house to visit the tree house and zipline, a
day on the slopes skiing together, attending a Ranger game or a competitive
evening of board games.
Life has been full of adventure so far, I can't wait to see what happens
next...
ABOUT THE AUTHOR, RACHEL MILLER, {from her Amazon Author Page}:
Rachel Miller is a lifetime learner and educator. She is a specialist in non-traditional learning techniques and has taught classes in history, sociology, as well as integrated STEM classes for grades K-8, using only common office supplies. MY THOUGHTS:
This is a fun book for teachers, youth
group and scout leaders, moms/dads/grandparents, day care providers, and anyone
else who wants to have some fun making projects and then playing with them!
These clever projects utilize basic household items, recyclables, and some
inexpensive items you may have to purchase at the store. The book is divided
into four chapters. Photos are good, although there is not a photo provided for
every single project. The games and science experiments provided are age
appropriate and interesting.
I borrowed this book from our local library's 'New Books' shelf. Highly recommended for adults in charge of 'facilitating' some organized playtime for kids.
