MONDAY EARTH DAY & ARBOR
DAY 2020 CELEBRATION ~

🌲🌳🌴🌍🌎🌏🌐🌲🌳🌴🌍🌎🌏🌐🌲🌳🌴🌍🌎🌏

Greetings! When I recently looked ahead on my April calendar, I realized that this week marks two very important 'holidays' celebrating our beautiful Earth. The 50th anniversary of Earth Day will be on Wednesday, April 22nd, and Arbor Day will be on Friday, April 24th.

Because of the significance of these two holidays in our current world, I did some research in an effort to provide some pertinent link packs for each of these days. I hope adults and middle-graders alike will learn something new about these special days and will discover some fun activities along the way. Let's begin with Earth Day.

All graphics were made by yours truly using the Canva Graphics site.  😊

--NASA has posted lots of goodies for Earth Day and everyday!

--The EXPLORATORIUM in San Francisco is planning a Live Stream of their Virtual Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22nd! I visited this museum a couple of decades ago, and it is amazing!

--The OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC has educational activities for kids, and they look really good!

  3. Wow! These are great links to both special event! Teachers and parents will welcome the activities and information! Great for homeschooling and kids who are at home -- so many things they can do. I love that the theme for Earth Day this year is climate change.

  6. Two of my favorite days. I did some work out in the yard yesterday- appreciating nature. Tomorrow I hope to pick up some litter at the end of my road (boy, do I wish people would stop littering). Thanks for these great ideas!
