Searching for a nearby restaurant that was still open reminded Kelsea she’d refused a perfectly good dinner at the Silver Horseshoe.
Her pulse raced as she thought of her first visit to a working ranch. Will measured up to her preconceived notions of what a cowboy should look like on the outside. Handcrafted dark brown leather boots with fine stitching matched the cowboy hat adorned with a silver horseshoe buckle. Too bad his sullen personality didn’t match the handsome exterior.
Will had mentioned something about riding Domino in the rodeo. She checked out a video clip of him on her phone. There he was, roping a steer in mere seconds. Mesmerized, she watched until the end when he charmed the journalist in his interview.
Was this the same man? She viewed it again. Yep, it was.
That side of him, hidden as it was, must explain the inexplicable tug of attraction she’d felt toward him.

Tanya Agler is one of my favorite Harlequin Heartwarming authors because her stories tug at my heartstrings and engage me from the opening paragraph until the last. 'Caught by the Cowgirl' is one of my favorite clean, wholesome romance reads in 2023.
Bubbly Kelsea Carruthers is a novice in her job selling wind turbines, and she's traveled to the Silver Horseshoe Ranch in the Colorado Mountains to discuss business with the owner of the ranch. She's under a lot of pressure to make it in this new job because of reasons revealed as the story moves on. Through a clever and humorous meet-up, Kelsea meets the intense, unfriendly owner of the ranch—handsome Will Sullivan.
Will Sullivan is drowning in problems. He's still grieving the loss of his parents in an accident and the loss of his longtime rodeo career. He's stressed about the ranch's finances and is trying to figure out a way to turn things around to put the ranch back on track to success. He doesn't have time to listen to a business proposal about wind turbines.
Quirky characters such as Will's Uncle Barry along with ranch animals Domino and Rocket offer readers opportunities to chuckle amidst the various challenges that befall Kelsea and Will. A later-in-life romance, a trio of lonely senior gentlemen, and Kelsea's volatile relationship with her father and other family members helped to make this story extremely engaging from start to finish.
The light and joy that Kelsea brings to everyone she meets was one of my favorite aspects of the story. Will's personal growth and the realistic romance between the two characters will please fans of this genre.
