ABOUT THE BOOK:
Montana Detective Trevor West is
desperate to learn what happened to his sister, who went missing in Alaska over
a year ago, leaving nothing but a few photographs as clues to her whereabouts.
At the advice of Police Chief Autumn Long, Trevor enlists the help of an
experienced bush pilot. If Carrie James can't help him find the places in the
photographs, no one can.
But Carrie has her own agenda. Grieving the death of her closest friend and the
only person she could trust, Carrie will help Trevor find his sister on one
condition—that he help her track down her friend's killer.
As the two close in on the answers they crave, they'll face dangers and
connections they could not have imagined. They'll have to learn to trust one
another—and face the dark secrets of the past—if they are ever to discover the
truth and bring a killer to justice.

An engaging tale of danger and suspense in the Alaskan wilderness . . .
This book is the second installment of the author's 'Missing in Alaska' series. Many of the characters from the first story appear in this book.
Bush pilot Carrie James has a traumatic personal history which the author reveals to readers layer-by-layer as the plot builds to its crescendo. Carrie is a strong and independent woman who has sworn off falling in love because of a betrayal in her past.
Detective Trevor West is on a mission to locate his sister, Jennifer, in Alaska. He is also healing from a personal betrayal, and he and Carrie bond quickly. Detective West is experienced, well-trained, and intelligent. However, he's human, so he makes mistakes in his quest to solve Jennifer's missing person case.
There is a great group of supporting characters whom I grew to like, and I felt like they added another dimension to the story. These individuals used their own unique skills to contribute to the search for Jennifer. The amazing State of Alaska acted as another character in this story, in my opinion, because of the rugged wilderness, weather, wildlife, native people and their customs, and the sheer strength of the people who live there.
This book is completely clean in language and content. I received a copy of this book from the publisher through their Revell Reads Blogger Program. All of my thoughts and opinions shared here are solely my own.
